Grand Malmö - Monbijougatan 17

Don't be fooled walking down the street seeing the sign and no door. The entrance is up a flight of stairs on the courtyard 20 meters beyond the sign. Old school glam, this place comes right out of the... 60s? I'm so bad with history. Great drink selection, bar food not so much. I would only come for the atmosphere and to have a drink or top. Very slow bar staff. If they still have it, I recommend trying the Punchable Face IPA from War Pigs. I really enjoyed it.

Grand has improved a lot in the past year or two, with the bar taking center stage and thus being more accessible than when it was close to the kitchen. The restaurant has a great menu and if you are into natural wines the selection here is among the best around. I remove half a star because the acoustics in the main room are still very bad - one ends up talking at the top of one's voice throughout the night. The other minus is the very small concert venue adjacent to the restaurant and bar. If you want to see one of the more popular bands, you end up squished... But altogether Grand is a nice place to hang out with friends!

Beef tartar for starter was really fantastic. However the Steak au poivre had way too much salt in the green pepper sauce. The potato cake was little bit dry, but good taste otherwise

Love this place, good vibes! Nice cocktails. Efficient staff. The old fashioned come with a big chunk of ice which is nice. Some nice IPAs on tap.

Excellent ramen, matching beverages and lovely wontons in chili oil. Attentive service and lively atmosphere.

The food (Ramen) was a little bit too salty and the music was a bit too loud for a normal conversation. However, the atmosphere was nice and there was a good assortment of beers. Definitely a good place for, e.g. a Swedish afterwork.

Amazing atmosphere. The prizes are not cheap but the food is very good and it offers a big variety of drinks. They usually have live music in the pub and also a (too) small club for those who want some dancing.

A hidden place downtown Malmö. You need to enter the courtyard and then go up the stairs to enter the restaurant. Interior is spacious and give a privacy. Kitchen is open so you can see chefs preparing delicious meals. Food is yummy and cooked from quality and fresh ingredients. There is a balcony for the smokers or in case you wanna chill. It is in a calm place.
