Leadership Team

Simon Thake, our Group CEO, has been at the forefront of the electronic components supply industry for over 30 years. Firstly, honing his skills in purchasing and material management, before setting up Freeway Electronics in 1989 and leading it to a successful sale. His enthusiasm for the industry and passion for customer delivery, led him to co-found Rebound with Freeway director Steve Madley in 2003.

Heading up the operations side of the Group is our Chief Operating Officer – Stefan Mason. After joining the group in 2003, having been promoted from within on many occasions he has helped shape the company to where we are today. He and his team have played a vital role in how we navigated many challenges including; COVID, Brexit etc.

Grant Fairbairn – Managing Director Asia plays a key role in how we operate within the Asia market from building supply chains to overseeing key upgrades to our digital technologies to ensure we are releasing the power of big data to our customers.

Rebound Group is underpinned by strong financial management provided by Chief Finance Officer, Peter Griffith-Jones. Peter’s extensive experience in the technology sector, including electronic component distribution, has helped him manage the Group’s steady and sustainable growth to €157m turnover (2018).

Leadership style

Visionary and entrepreneurial, the Board not only lead by example but are highly visible within the organisation, both to the Rebound Electronics’ team and our customers. They continually listen to customers, adapting to prevent supply chain problems and offering new services to help them operate their businesses more efficiently.

Creating a proactive team of people who are as focused and committed to customer delivery as they are, is vital to Simon, Steve and Peter. Our continued success is built on the quality of our people, all of whom are experienced, professional, reliable, and ultimately love what they do.
