Wine and Gin Bar - Lejonpassagen

Upon entering the Wine and Gin Bar the first thing you notice is the friendly and welcoming guards. "Hej" or "Välkommna" you may expect to hear. The next thing you will notice is the age of the crowd. While it's not a retirement home feel, it's not Disneyland either. A middle aged, casual night out discussing the prices of various yachts are more the vibe you get. Entering the very beautiful Gin and Wine Bar caused a small gasp. Not because we saw someone under 30 (the bartender) but due to the price of the drinks. You know your wallet is in for a belting when the cheapest thing on the menu is the cheese platter! Never the less, we ordered the cheapest drink (a Hendricks gin and tonic) from the lovely barkeep and and settled at a table. Cucumber, peppercorn and tonic made acquaintances with our gin and from that a friendship blossomed! It was nice to mingle with the top 1% of Malmö and feel part of the "it" crowd however due to not wanting the take out a mortgage on my house this feeling could only be short lived. My mate went to the toilet and loved it. He said there was too much toilet paper (which is a strange thing to complain about I know, but he claims it surprised him) and no paper towel. I know.. 'just use the extra toilet paper to wipe your hands' is what your thinking, but either way this let him down and he gave the otherwise impeccable dunnies 4 stars. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for anyone who owns football teams, mega yachts or want to impress a first date by subtly suggesting you make more than you do. On a teachers salary, unfortunately, it's a place you can only visit when you have been abused by children more than usual and even then; only for the 1 or 2 drinks. I would love to give it 5 stars but price and paper towel cost it a star.

Best place in Malmö if you are in to Gin&Tonic. Huge selection to choose from. Also very good price on their Pieper Hiedsieck Champagne

A really cool bar and great drinks. Loved the outdoor seating, but it does get too crowded as it is a popular place. It is a bit pricey as well, but the service and waiters are great!

Excellent gin, but extremely expensive at 150 SEK for a glass which is roughly 20 cl

One of the best hidden spots in Malmö. Great service and perfect if you want to experience quality drinks and service.

Was here with my partner for drinks before an event. My partner wanted beer and I asked for a sweet drink and also a cured meat platter. It was not busy and I could see the waiters had downtime - so from my perspective I got disappointed when I first did not get any info on what I was drinking, then when the platter finally arrived on the table with no napkins or cutlery I got more disappointed when we got no presentation on what the meats was. Both the drink and meat was good, but I will not visit you again as I had no idea what I was drinking or eating. Might be oldschool but I expect to at least get a short presentation. Had they given me the description or name I would perhaps come back another day to order the same stuff again, but no. Please learn to give your guest time to make them feel welcome and spend a couple of minutes - it will gain you in the long run.

If you like Gin this is a must visit. Always love a visit here. Great large selection of gin and staff is friendly and very knowledgeable! The menu was just updated so some new nice choices for those that stick to the menu as well!

Huge selection of gins, 300 bottles! Nice atmosphere, very busy usually. Very centrally located at Stortorget. Liked it a lot.
